Adaptive Cycling Clinic 2008 On Sept 6, 2008 twenty-two people with spinal cord injuries were introduced for the first time to hand cycling at this event. It is planned to help participants achieve independence and enjoy a sport for the first time or continue a sport that they'd once enjoyed prior to their injury. Participants were also exposed to demonstations of other sports such as rugby, and were counseled and helped professionally by members of the Spinal Cord Injury Association Of Iowa. Bike World was there to provide whatever mechanical help might be needed and of course give vocal moral support. This is a wonderful event and a wonderful organization!
